Recycling Pellets

Recycling pellets can be made from a wide range of wastes, including wood, sawdust, grasses, plastics, cardboard and many more. Using recycling pellets is an excellent way to reduce waste and pellets can be repurposed and used for a variety of purposes, including fuel, animal feed and litters.

Key benefits

Pelleting a waste product can improve handling and storage. Pellets are uniform in shape and size, making them easier to handle, transport, and store. They take up less space than loose material, making storage more efficient. They can often be repurposed or reused in various processes keeping them from landfill.

It is possible to transform a product from hazardous to non-hazardous through the pelleting process.  Plastic can be very expensive to dispose of, especially when bulky, condensing it makes it more cost effective to remove and can also be better for the environment as often a pelletted product can be reused.

They have a long lifespan due to their robust material and are mould and mildew resistant. These pellets can be used for all sorts of purposes including uPVC windows and doors. They withstand harsh weather conditions and exposure to UV rays.

Recycling Pelleting Trials

We can provide product analysis and testing services to ascertain whether your recycling waste/by-product is suitable for pelleting.  We support research and development into recycling pellets.  We have experience in pelleting a diverse array of products.

  • We usually require up to 200kg of the recycled waste material (depending on material)

  • We have the facility to dry a product to the correct level of moisture content which is approximately 10-15%

  • We shape the product to the size required which is less than 5mm before pelleting

  • We will trial different dies to find the best compression for the desired result for the product.  ( Hard/ soft pellets)

  • We can send the product for testing if required
