Pelleting Systems

Pelleting system refers to a system designed around a particular raw material enabling it to be processed into a pellet product. These systems are designed around material storage and handling, drying, granulating, pelleting, cooling, packaging and storage.

Pellets are made by compressing and shaping raw materials, which are easier to transport, store, and use than the loose parent material.

The process

The pelleting process begins with the raw material being delivered into a material bunker or hopper to the pelleting system. This material can be anything from sawdust and wood chips, to corn and soybeans or even waste products such as manure. Once the material is in the system, it is ground up and sometimes mixed with other ingredients, such as binders and additives if needed.

The mixture is then fed into the pelleting machine, which compresses it through a die to create pellets of a specific size and shape. The pellets are then cooled and cured ready for packaging and transport.  Pelleting systems are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet the needs of different industries and applications. Some systems are designed for small-scale production, while others are capable of producing several tons of pellets per hour.

Why use a pelleting system?

One of the advantages of using a pelleting system is that it can significantly reduce the volume of raw materials needed to produce a given amount of product. This can result in lower transportation costs, as well as reduced storage and handling requirements.

In addition, pellets are a more consistent and uniform product than loose materials, which can help to improve the quality and efficiency of the production process. Pellets are also easier to handle and store, which can help to reduce waste and improve safety in the workplace.

Pelleting systems are an important tool for a variety of industries, including agriculture, animal feed, forestry, and renewable energy. The systems we supply offer a cost-effective and efficient way to produce high-quality pellets from a wide range of raw materials.
